Frequently asked questions.

If you have received a Friends of Voda redemption code for the Voda app and are not sure how to activate your Voda Plus subscription, this FAQ section can help. We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions related to the redemption process.

What is a partner redemption code, and where can I find it?

A Friends of Voda redemption code is a unique code provided to you by one of Voda's partner organisations, which can be used to claim a Voda Plus subscription. You should receive this code in an invitation email from Voda's partner organisation. If you cannot find your partner redemption code, please contact the partner organisation directly.

How long does it take for my Voda Plus subscription to be activated after redeeming my code?

Your Voda Plus subscription should be activated within the next 24 hours after redeeming your partner code. If you still do not have access to all features after 24 hours, please contact Voda support at support@voda.co with the title "Voda Redemption."

The paywall still comes up, what should I do?

Sometimes the Voda Plus subscription might not trigger automatically on your app. If you still see a screen asking you to upgrade after you have redeemed your code, click on the “Restore Purchase” button on the Voda app to resolve this issue.

What features are included in the Voda Plus subscription of the Voda app?

The Voda Plus subscription of the Voda app includes unlimited access to Voda's exclusive LGBTQIA+ mental wellness content created by LGBTQIA+ psychotherapists, incuding 80+ queer-led meditations and guided theapy programmes. Topics include coping with gender dysphoria, coming out, dealing with internalised shame, as well as queer-led meditations and exercises.

What type of mental wellness content is available on the Voda app?

The Voda app offers a wide range of wellness content tailored specifically to the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. This includes guided meditations, guided self-therapy exercises, cognitive journaling, breathing exercises, self-care practices, and more. Most of the wellness programmes on the Voda app are audio-based, allowing you to listen and participate from anywhere, at any time.

Who made the Voda app?

The Voda app was created by a team of LGBTQIA+ individuals and mental health professionals who saw a need for a mental wellness app specifically tailored to the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. The team includes experts in mental health, technology, and design, and is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space for the LGBTQIA+ community to access high-quality mental health services. Learn more about the team here.

Is the app discreet?

The app is designed to be discreet. The app logo is designed to be simple, and you will not receive notifications on your phone with references to LGBTQIA+ issues. This is because we recognise that many of us might like to receive notifications in a way that is discreet and non-intrusive.

Our audio programmes and wellness exercises often reference LGBTQIA+ issues, and so you might wish to listen to the audio programmes with earphones on, or in a private space where you can listen and journal without being disturbed.

How can my organisation join the Friends of Voda community?

If you are interested in becoming a partner organisation of the Voda app, you can reach out to Voda's partnership team by emailing partnerships@voda.co. The team will review your request and get back to you with more information on the partnership opportunities available. Voda partners with a wide range of LGBTQIA+ organisations to provide resources and support to the community, so don't hesitate to get in touch if you think your organisation could benefit from a partnership with Voda.
